Okay, so there is a massive fort constructed in our living/dining room, but you can see the orange on the walls that was previously there. So, Josh had just come into the house with his eyes closed and the look on his face that showed he wasn't too excited about another one of my "surprises." I told him he could open his eyes.
I confessed my friend was a tremendous help in this transformation. Josh LOVES it. Everyday, several times a day, he tells me how much he love the walls. And that he's not just "saying it" this time.
He graduates from Paramedic Class in about 3 weeks. He said we can do the floor boards then. That will make a HUGE difference. This wall was intentionally left blank. This is where I am hoping to have family photos hanging in black frames soon. We've never really had any family photos hanging before. I'll start by enlarging a wedding photo. We've never done that either. It will be beautiful on our little wall. Our wall where the rainbows lay.
I also have plans to install new doors in March. Not every door, but at least a couple at a time. It will be so nice to have new, FRAMED doors. And that will complete the transformation in 2 rooms of our home.
At first, he noticed the furniture had been rearranged. No big surprise, we had rearranged several times the last couple weeks. Then his eyes went upward and saw things hanging on the wall differently than they were before. It was about 5 seconds after he opened his eyes that he noticed this . . .
Freshly painted walls! I'm talking about a complete paint job. I even finished installing new electrical outlets and covers.

His face gleamed of shock. He looked at me and said "You did this? You, did all this. You did this while I was gone.?"
Then he followed it with "I don't live in a pumpkin anymore!" and "We finally live in a grown-up house!"I confessed my friend was a tremendous help in this transformation. Josh LOVES it. Wow ! It does look great! It looks larger, doesn't it? Yeah, It's not too far off in the pictures, anyway, from my room color. I'm excited to see the rest of the transformation come about. And, Mechelle does awesome photos! pick her! pick her!
